Headache refers to pain in any region of the head. Headaches may occur on one or both sides of the head, isolated to a certain location or can radiate across the head. Headache may be felt like a sharp pain, a throbbing sensation or a dull ache. Most headaches aren’t the result of a serious illness, but some of them may be the result of a life-threatening condition requiring emergency care.
